We are glad to announce that we are sponsors of the Focus On Microscopy 2021 Online Conference 

The origin of the FOM conference series lies in the three-dimensional imaging capabilities of confocal microscopy, together with the associated 3D image processing. Since then the technology for optical microscopy has progressed with the development of optoelectronic technologies such as femtosecond lasers, nanometric precision scanners, and stages, highly sensitive photo-detectors, emergence of new optical approaches (as in the case of lightfield microscopy), and image processing and analysis techniques.

These developments have been reported in the FOM conferences, which started in 1988. The programs of the conferences of the last 20 years can be found on FOM website.

The FOM conferences constitute an effective meeting point for developers and users working in this rapidly evolving field, playing an important role in the dissemination of information about new developments. Traditionally the FOM conferences are accompanied by a technical exhibition showing the recent technical developments in microscopy and associated techniques. FOM 2021 online will be accompanied by possibilities for online demonstrations by companies.

Doitplenoptic at FOM 2021

Last year we were going to present our abstract “Plenoptic Eyepiece: a New Paradigm for 3D Lightfield Microscopy” during FOM 2020 at Osaka (Japan). Unfortunately, due to the Sars-Cov2 outbreak, the conference had to be canceled.

This year we made a huge leap in our development and the plenoptic eyepiece is a reality, therefore we are going to participate as one of the main sponsors with:

• a 15 minutes Lecture during the parallel session ‘New developments in (confocal) instrumentation’ on Monday, March 29, 2021 afternoon,
• a workshop on Tuesday from 16.40 to 17.10, and
• a flash talk during a plenary session (to be determined)
